An outstanding list of green blogs, thank you. What do you think the most pressing "green" issue is in the Washington metro area?
Kristina, while I'm tempted to say something about the water quality in the Potomac & Anacostia Rivers and Chesapeake Bay, global warming is the most pressing local issue. Why is it local? Because it's already having impacts here. Yesterday's Washington Post talked about how Oriole and trout populations are declining. And a report last week talked about how higher sea levels mean higher flood risks in low-lying DC, especially around The National Mall.
So what can we do here? Walk, bike, use public transportation and carpool more, and drive by yourself only when you have to ...
